The Ultimate Arisaig Itinerary

Here's what you can get up to on a 3 night stay with us!

ARRIVAL - Once you’ve arrived and checked-in from 3pm, how about stretch the legs and start exploring the surroundings of our wee village!?

Take a leisurely stroll out Rhu road. This is a single track road, winding out a peninsular with stunning views and a good chance you’ll spot some wildlife from the shore! Seals and Otters love this area in the bay, and along the way you could see deer, eagles and the newly re-introduced red squirrels! Keep your eyes peeled. If you’re wanting something a little more challenging, take a jaunt up Creag Mhor for some impressive views overlooking the village and beyond. Return to the pub for dinner and a relax before the next days adventures!

DAY 1 - After a hearty breakfast, head along to Larachmhor gardens and see the Rhododendrons in full bloom (among plenty of other flora). Spend some time wandering the trails before returning to the village for lunch. Arisaig Shellfish Shack, Sound Bites Cafe, The Old Library & The Boathouse Cafe (Marina) all have a broad selection for lunch.

For the afternoon, head along the coastal road and discover the beautiful white sand beaches. If you’re feeling brave, have a dip in the refreshing sea! If swimming isn’t your thing, perhaps horse riding is? Silversands Trekking Centre offer 1 or 2 hour escorted treks along the the beaches. After your exciting beach afternoon, return to Arisaig Hotel to freshen up, relax and head for dinner. Perhaps there’ll be live music in the pub this evening!?

DAY 2 -Fuel up on breakfast because it’s another jam-packed day. Take to the sea! Join Rockhopper Sea Kayaking on a group tour of The Sound of Arisaig. Viewing the coast from a different perspective is not to be missed! An abundance of sea life and private pristine beaches to find.

Alternatively, check out the day trips Arisaig Marine have to offer aboard their two charter boats; MV Sheerwater & Orca 3. They offer half day & full day landing and non-landing trips to various locations. You may also have the opportunity to see some exciting wildlife including whales, dolphins, seals, eagles and other species of sea birds. Both of these options are just a skip from the front door of the hotel, how convenient!

By the end of this adventurous day, you’ll definitely have worked up an appetite. Obviously we’d love to host you for dinner every night of your stay, but if you’re wanting to try something different, you can pre-order an amazing platter from Arisaig Shellfish Shack and dine alfresco in your location of choice. Dreamy!
