The Quiggs

The Quiggs - Thursday 25th July at 8pm

Head up to the Astley hall to spend an evening with Stephen and Pernelle Quigg, the husband and wife duo who have emerged on the Scottish folk scene in the last few years.  This year Stephen is celebrating 40 years of singing, which includes nine years in the McCalmans. ​The combination of songs, both old and new, interspersed with anecdotes and a touch of humour has received much praise from the audiences and organisers. A concert with The Quiggs is a chance to hear folksong in its simple, yet highly expressive form, including beautiful harmonies and songs that seek the audience's participation.
