Staying Safe at Arisaig Hotel

29/06/2020

Description text

After all the uncertainty of the past few months, it feels amazing to be given the green light to open the hotel, bar & bunkhouse on Wednesday 15th July for the 2020 holiday season, and Team Arisaig Hotel can’t wait to warmly welcome you back to the area!

In order to reassure our guests, who understandably may be feeling anxious about leaving the safety of lockdown, we thought we would share the measures and procedures we have put in place to keep you and your friends/family as safe as possible during your time at the hotel.  These procedures have built on our existing high standards of hygiene and cleanliness with the aim of stopping coronavirus in its tracks!

CONTACTLESS CHECK-IN

To ensure a speedy check-in that reduces physical contact with staff and touch points, check-in will be completed by phone whereby any requests you may have (table reservations, dietary requirements or questions about your stay) can be discussed and arranged by our team prior to your arrival. We’ll also be just a phone-call away should you have any questions or queries during your stay.  Simply call reception during your time at the hotel and somebody will be on-hand to answer your enquiry.

YOUR SAFE ARRIVAL

Upon your arrival at Arisaig Hotel, our receptionists will greet you with a warm, socially distanced welcome and provide you with information for the time you are with us. The receptionist will also talk you through our hygiene procedures implemented to protect you, fellow guests and our team.

We would rather our staff do not handle any luggage; however, if you require any assistance, please do ask and we’ll ensure that your luggage is taken safely and swiftly to your room.

YOUR HOTEL ROOM

You can rest assured that every measure has been taken to ensure the cleanliness of your room.  All bedrooms will be subject to complete room disinfecting measures with touch point items such as kettles, door handles, hairdryers etc disinfected using industry standard cleaning products.  A number of traditional bedroom items, such as alarm clocks, have been removed in order to reduce touchpoints; however, should you require anything specific, please do ask and we will get it to you safely and swiftly.

After a thorough manual clean, your bedroom will undergo the ultimate in air and surface deep cleaning with OTEX ozone disinfection technology, which safely kills viruses and bacteria in spaces up to 500m3.

Finally, your room will be sealed, so you have the comfort of knowing that no-one has entered the room after it has been cleaned.

DAILY HOUSEKEEPING

Housekeeping will not enter your room for the duration of your stay.  Should you require any specific items such as fresh towels or if your service tray items need to be topped up, simply call or message reception and this will be arranged promptly.  If you would prefer a traditional housekeeping service, this can be arranged if you let us know; however, we would ask that you are not in the room whilst housekeeping is underway.

FOOD & DRINK

After a day of exploring Arisaig and the surrounding area, you can relax in the knowledge that you’ll be able to enjoy a drink and delicious locally sourced food in our socially spaced bar and restaurant (including our brand-new covered outdoor eating area, the Outside Inn)!

When it comes to ordering, why not take advantage of our food & drink ordering app, which you can navigate from your table with ease.  In order to further reduce contact, payment can also be made via the app, and if technology isn’t your thing, food & drink can be ordered traditionally with a member of staff wearing appropriate PPE.

BREAKFAST SERVICE

We’ve made a number of small changes to breakfast service at the hotel.  We have utilised the space in the lounge to create a second breakfast room, meaning there will be plenty of space to socially distance while you’re enjoying the most important meal of the day.  In order to avoid any confusion, a table number and table plan will be emailed to you prior to your arrival. Details will be communicated to you prior to your arrival and be subject to continual review.

Finally, the DIY breakfast buffet will be replaced by way of traditional ordering with a member of staff wearing appropriate PPE.

PUBLIC AREAS

In order to increase safety for guests, who will naturally move throughout the public spaces within the hotel, all doors will be hinged open (with the exception of firedoors) and we have removed contact points between the bedrooms and public areas.

Several hand-sanitising stations can be found throughout all of the public areas in the hotel and we would encourage you to use them frequently.

Bar/restaurant WCs now have locks on the entrance doors, meaning there will be a strict ‘one in, one out’ policy in place with frequent cleaning.

CONTACTLESS CHECKOUT

There will be no need for you to check out at reception as final bills will be emailed to you on the morning of your departure. If you can just respond by email with the agreement of accuracy, that would be great.  We also respectfully ask that you call or message reception when departing your room to allow our housekeeping to have the longest time possible cleaning the room before the next guests arrive.

We hope that by reading through our promise you will feel confident that we have taken all possible measures to keep you and your family safe during your time with us.  If this is the case and you’re itching to visit Arisaig again, the best available rates can be found by booking directly with the hotel.

We will continually review and update our promise in accordance with Government guidelines so the above may be subject to slight changes.
