During the current covid crisis, unfortunately our live music sessions won’t be able to go ahead in the short term. The minute that there’s a change in Government guidelines, we will endeavour to gather the many incredible local musicians in the area and the famous Crofter’s Rest music sessions will be back with a BANG!
A small, west coast village it might be, but Arisaig has been making some serious [sound]waves on the Scottish live music scene and the Crofter's Rest at Arisaig Hotel is right at the heart of it. With live music sessions every Friday night and Sunday afternoon, plus a whole host of superb bands and musicians lined up throughout the year, live music lovers needn't head to the big bad cities to catch their favourite bands, just take a trip to Arisaig instead!
Last year proved to be a bumper year for the village with not one, but two music festivals dropping anchor in Arisaig plus innumerable bands and musicians took to the stage at the Crofter's Rest. Trad scene giants such as Eilidh Shaw, Ross Martin, Gabe MacVarish, Sarah Jane Shankland, Angus Binnie and Tam the Banjo call Arisaig and the surrounding area home and their passion for their craft coupled with Arisaig's relaxed, west coast vibe has catapulted the village into a hub for musicians and music lovers.
Over the years, the likes of the Peat Bog Faeries, Niteworks, the Elephant Sessions, Talisk, John Langan Band, the White Feather Collective, the Bevvy Sisters and too many more to mention graced the village with their presence and 2020 looks set to be even bigger and better!
